Site Details
Glamis is another old mill site, water from the Lera Dam (pictured below) used to power a mill and also fed a fish hatchery. The intake and header tank wil be retrofitted to the existing dam, as shown in the drawing opposite. Some of the water from the loch will be diverted through a pipeline to a turbine in the old mill.
Electricity Output
The scheme will generate enough electricity to power 48 UK households.
